But this is expensive and one cannot possible get their rugs cleaned by a professional cleaner every month. The second option is to clean the rugs at home with the help of shampoos or detergents. Many shampoos used by professionals are available in the market. One may buy such shampoos or prepare a solution for rug cleaning at home. A good detergent can be mixed well with warm water to prepare such a solution. Whatever detergent is chosen, one must make sure that the detergent is of best quality. This solution should be sprayed on the carpet with the help of a spray bottle and allowed to stay for about half an hour. Post this process, the carpet should be cleaned thoroughly. This process will leave the carpet clean and free of dust and allergens.
